⚠️ Pros / Cons
Pros:
-
Large storage for its size (4 TB) is good value for backups, media, etc.
- Encryption / password protection helps for security of data.
-
Rescue service is helpful in case of accidental data loss.
-
Works across Windows/Mac fairly easily thanks to exFAT.
Cons:
-
It’s still a mechanical HDD — speed will be far lower than SSDs, and more sensitive to drops or shocks.
-
USB 3.0 / micro-USB cable means speed and convenience are decent but not top-tier (compared to USB-C or NVMe SSDs).
-
The body is relatively thick for 4 TB version compared to 1–2 TB ones.
-
Big capacity means more to lose if the drive fails; backups / redundancy are essential.
